White beach

To the west, next to Red beach is the White beach or Aspri Ammos (Aspri means white in Greek) which is accessible by boat from Akrotiri or from the Red beach. There is also a difficult path from Kambia. It is located 14 kilometers away from Fira and is one of the major tourist attractions.

The White beach is a pebble beach with blue crystal clear waters surrounded by high white cliffs. It is very small with only a few beds. Its name derives from the stones that cover the sand.

In the cave canteen you will get what is necessary to stay on the beach.

It is ideal for snorkeling as there are many underwater caves, nooks and crannies to explore. As you follow the road towards the lighthouse you will see on your left, a sign to Kambia. There you will find a beach with refreshingly cold sea with large pebbles and a few umbrellas.
